Paper Embroidery Tools
When you are doing paper embroidery, it is advisable for you to use the tools designed for this craft. There are three piercing tools available in coarse, fine and extra fine. You can also use ordinary household items, such as a needle, safety pin or push pin to pierce your pattern.
I personally recommend using a piercing pad or several mouse pads, styrafoam sheet, or fun foam sheet. While on vacation in Aruba, I used a push pin and the cork side of a coaster to pierce my patterns. Just be sure that your piercing tool doesn't go through your pad. My sister's table still has a beautiful pierced design on it as a reminder that our pad wasn't thick enough!
